Object Manipulation
Juggling programs are designed to teach coordinationand the melding of brain hemispheres through the simple
art of throwing objects in the air and catching them.
Students will learn to ambidextrously apply practical
physics in a fun and challenging setting.
Activities include:
-Learning to manipulate multiple objects through the air.
-Improved sense of coordination, timing and accomplishment.
-One on one instruction as well as group experience.
-Practicing with experienced jugglers, getting tips and pointers.
Manipulating a staff through the air in arcing weave patterns.
The aim is to find fluid and relaxed ways of spinning around different parts
of the body and between both hands. Similar to juggling, staff spinning
teaches coordination, timing anSd ambidextrousness along with an improved
awareness of your body and surroundings.
Activities include:
-Working towards smooth movement of the staff and body.
-Learning the techniques of spinning in both right and left hands.
-An increased ability to deal with getting hit by hard wooden objects.
-Spinning without hitting your self.
Combat Resolution
Faux-fu fighting! This is a unique look at a non-aggressive style of
stage-combat. Students will engage in tightly choreographed energetic
movements, learning to interact in a fun and safe way. Despite being a
great cardiovascular work-out, this program is not reserved for the physically fit.
Activities include:
-Body awareness, movement, balance, and coordination.
-Safe combat interaction between partners.
-Tailoring choreography to optimize the body movements of each student.
-Learning to perform the action as entertainment.
